The children at North Frodingham School have been treated to some wonderful artwork by Katy Cobb of Wall Things Bright and Beautiful. She spent a week painting the playground wall using designs that the children had drawn of flowers and minibeasts. They were inspired following a session with the ‘doodling’ artist from Hornsea, Charlotte Eldred who used King Charles’ Coronation Invitation as a starting point. Some sponsorship for this project came from the Driffield Arts Society, which we are very grateful for. Two committee members came to see the work in progress. The children watched the artwork evolve and asked Katy lots of questions. The wall is full of colour and interesting designs that will continue to inspire the children’s creative ideas, encourage further interest in the natural world and enhance the environment that they play in.
